Whenever I am teaching a first time knitter how to knit, I am always surprised at how hard they are on themselves if they make a mistake. I always tell them the story of the first scarf I ever made… it had holes in it everywhere, it went from 15 stitches to 5 and back to 15, dropped stitches and ladders; the whole thing was a mess! But none the less it is still my absolute favourite scarf to this day!!
